The LA Times breakdown of espresso let-goes holds at least one surprise that may ease your jitters ... none are getting axed in the Valley, and only one is closing west of the 405. Angelinos obviously love their caffeine, even if it costs more than gas.

The one boarding up on the west side is at 7th and Montana in Santa Monica. But don't cry into your grande-mocha-frappa-ding-dong. One block west is another Starbucks. Half a block east is -- you guessed it -- another Starbucks. Head a few more blocks east and you'll find a Coffee Bean, Peet's, and ... wait for it ... wait for it ...
