Rock 'n Roll and Scientology don't mix. One of them has to leave. Rock 'n Roll and alcohol was in Hollywood long before Scientology, so Scientology has to go...

Scientology has a lot of nerve calling anyone else a 'nuisance'.

Emoney: Scientology typically run courses and auditing in the evening and nights on the weekdays, so the publics (Scientologists who work regular jobs rather than staff or Sea Org) can come in.

If they have a Rehabilitation Project Force (forced labor punishment) there, the RPF might work in the late night and early morning - in addition to during the day. So a Scientology site can sometimes be a 24 hour establishment.

And to add to my last comment... this is ALSO the same cult that got several of its members to sue the Cult Awareness Network all at the same time so that CAN wouldn't be a thorn in their side anymore. Scientology probably never would have lasted this long if CAN wasn't completely overrun by Scientologists several years ago.

Why would Scientology have a problem with the Knitting Factory? Did they stage a performance in which the performer made a critical comment about Scientology, or made fun of? Are they trying to buy out the building for another one of their ridiculous front groups?

I wish that businesses, law makers, politicians, etcetera, would stop buckling under Scientology's demands and complaints. They DO NOT own ANYTHING outside of their own property. They THINK they own Hollywood. They THINK they're going to make Hollywood the next Clearwater. Let city council know that the 'Church' of Scientology is the real nuisance, and not the Knitting Factory.

Keep in mind, this is from the same cult that closed off sidewalks and denied an old disabled woman with a walker from walking to her home, just because they're afraid of protestors.

Why should they care? They're normally off of work before people even start lining up for shows at The Knitting Factory. As a neighbor of the Knitting Factory, I've never had any issues. It's a great all ages venue that is close to public transportation.

There's an all ages dance club directly across the street that has stuff going on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights until 2-3 AM. I'm surprised they aren't trying to close that place down as well - not yet at least.
