Get Out: Sunday

SAY HELLO TO DEATH: Or at least the Museum of Death, in their new location. Fans of the macabre will delight in checking out one of this town's strangest tributes in museum form. Go if you dare!
CELEBRATE COMME LES FRANCAIS:
Celebrate the 7th annual official Bastille Day LA Festival in WeHo, with "French gastronomic delicacies and spectacular live entertainment." You may see some or all of the following: A Parisian Waiters Race, street performers, French Market vendors, Sidewalk cafes, and French food & wine.
KEEP DRINKING WINE: At the 2nd day of the LA Wine Fest at the historic Raleigh Studios. (We suggested that you "Swirl 'Til You Twirl" the other day when we wrote about it.) Ticket info.
SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN BLAKE MEETS JULIE: It's a "Blake Edwards Retrospective" at the Aero Theatre tonight with a double bill of films the director made with his wife, Julie Andrews. First is the phenomenal musical Victor/Victoria--a hilarious Depression-era romp about a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman--follwed by Darling Lili, where Ms. Andrews plays a German spy.
Other things to do: Check out the Pike Bar & Fish Grill in Long Beach, take a trip to the OC County Fair, see some horror film and graffiti-inspired art on Melrose, buy the iPhone you've been putting off getting, or go to Hell...(Hellboy II, that is).

or... DODGEBALL
New & Improved Sunday Open Gyms 1:30-4:30 (w/ Stay Puft Hour): Now with something for everyone! 1:30-2:30 every Sunday will be an exclusive "Stay Puft" hour. All balls will be "no-sting" balls for the first hour, then we'll throw in some of the old school rubber balls for the rest of the session. This will happen every Sunday at the Hollywood Rec Center (1122 Cole Ave., 90038) from 1:30-4:30 and is a chance for some folks to get their practice on. Come as loner or with friends, anyone is welcome. Cost is $5, but for this month bring 2 newbies and play for free! Don't forget to bring your bathing suit because all summer long we'll be putting the "p" in ublic pool following dodgeball. Yes, the Hollywood Rec's pool is open 4 swimmin'.
