Tony Snow died today in Washington D.C. at the age of 53.
Snow most recently worked for CNN as an analyst since joining them in April but had been hospitalized since that time for exhaustion and the advancement of the recurring colon cancer that had spread throughout his abdomen last year.
Remembered as a smilingly affable and capable Bush Administration press secretary (from May 2006 to September 2007) as compared to the baby-faced but apparently clueless Scott McClellan, and the dour and combative Ari Fleischer.
Snow officially blurred the line between highly politicized journalism and the political entities that journalists are supposed to report on - Snow was an anchor for the (beyond the pale of belief) hardcore Right wing Fox News network, is it any surprise that he was also a guest host for Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly? His appointment/anointment as Press Secretary for the Bush Administration was interpreted as a confirmation that Fox News was an official mouthpiece for White House propaganda.
While it might be a stretch to call Snow "Joseph Goebbels with a great smile and great hair", his controversial tenure in the White House might set the tone for many administrations to come.

Few people have lied directly into a television camera as this man. He misinformed americans for years, and ridiculed anyone with a critical question about the miserable war criminals he worked for. Good riddance to him.

Just because he did not share your political beliefs does not mean it is acceptable to jump up and down in a celebratory fashion at the news of his death. You guys make me ashamed of being a liberal.

yes he was a very very good liar for a very horrible administration. but what they deserve is to be pointed out as liars ridiculed and perhaps arrested. not death.
