Yesterday, the District Attorney's office filed a total of four counts of criminal charges against Dr. Christopher Thompson of Mandeville Canyon, the suspect in the Fourth of July Mandeville Canyon "Road Rage" incident in which he allegedly slammed on his brakes causing two cyclists behind him injury (see photos/background here).
Thompson was charged with two counts of reckless driving (23105(a) of vehicle code) and two counts of felony battery (2403(d) of penal code). His arraignment is on August 1.

Good, I hope he does time, and loses his license.

Should the city win the case(s) expect civil lawsuits to follow. Dr. Thompson may be paying for this senseless act for decades to come.

I doubt he'll do time, but I bet his financial ruin will inspire him to control his temper forever more.

How did you get that pic?

No charge for assault using a vehicle as a deadly weapon, which means he will be allowed behind the wheel again. I'm glad he is being charged, and I'm sure a civil suit will follow, but I still don't think it's far enough. Shoot someone with a gun and they live and it's attempted murder. Slam your car into someone on purpose with the same potential to kill and it's a slap on the wrist by comparison.
