Also I Like To Rock w/ Miss Derringer & The Deadly Syndrome @ Hammer Museum, 7/10/08

Miss Derringer

Last night, Indie 103.1's "Also I Like To Rock" series continued, at the Hammer Museum in Westwood, with performances from local bands Miss Derringer (MySpace) and The Deadly Syndrome (MySpace).

Indie 103.1's Mr. Shovel (MySpace) has been actively supporting Miss Derringer, testifying that "Watching Miss Derringer perform for the first time is like setting into a dusty western ghost town and finding yourself in the middle of a British Blanket Bingo movie cast with frontier zombie teens gone bad." Their next local show will be next Thursday at Safari Sam's (MySpace).

Speaking of which, last night's show was The Deadly Syndrome's final one for the next several months, at least reportedly until December, as they are returning to the studio to record new material.

Next Thursday, "Also I Like To Rock" continues with local band IO Echo (MySpace) and London-based The Duke Spirit (MySpace), and on the 24th, the month-long series concludes with local band The Afternoons (MySpace) and Ontario-based Tokyo Police Club (MySpace).

Special thanks to Miss Derringer, The Deadly Syndrome, Indie 103.1, and the Hammer Museum.
