Chivas USA ties LA Galaxy 1-1. The Galaxy came out strong at the beginning of the first half, but soon gave way to Chivas' aggressiveness. Ante Razov would score for Chivas in the 15th minute with the assist from Sacha Klejstan. The Galaxy didn't look sharp at all especially Landon Donovan. However Edson Buddle saved the Galaxy in the 72nd minute with a game tying goal with the assist to Peter Vagenas and David Beckham. Both teams remain in first place atop the Western Conference .

Florida Marlins defeat LA Dodgers 5-4 (11 innings). Man, Hanley Ramirez is an absolute stud. My pick for NL MVP last season Ramirez earned his first five-hit game of his career including yet another game winning home run. Then again when the opposing manager inserts a pitcher like Brian Falkenborg who makes some boneheaded decisions like throwing Ramirez a fastball over the plate, it really comes as no surprise the Dodgers went down. Chan Ho Park stunk it up for four innings, but Hong-Chih Kuo came in for three innings to hold things down while the Dodger offense woke up to come back in the game.

LA Angels defeat Texas Rangers 11-10 (11 innings). While Rangers Park in Arlington is no Coors Field, it has never been friendly towards pitchers. That much was evident Thursday night. The Angels let a 10-4 lead slip away in the seventh that was capped off by a two-run homer by catcher Max Ramirez. The Rangers threatened in every successive inning, but Angels pitchers made the right pitches at the right moments. Francisco Rodriguez a night after blowing his third save of the season looked to be headed in the same direction. After walking leadoff hitter Brandon Boggs, he dropped a popped bunt by Max Ramirez and inexplicably threw to second. He threw wide of the fielder, the ball goes into the outfield and Ramirez was safe on first. Rodriguez got the next three hitters out to notch his 36th save of the season.,
