Since May 31, there have been a total of seven burglaries in West LA. All victims have been elderly woman, all have been robbed and fortunately, no one has been hurt.

The latest such incident happened last night at 3:20 a.m. on the 2100 block of Pelham Avenue on the Westside. The assailant put a gun to 84-year-old Ernestine Avelar's neck and said "do what I say and you won't get hurt. Otherwise, I'll kill you." She said she had $50 and he could take it. He did and left.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall black male, about 200 pounds and between the ages of 25 and 35. "We're extremely frustrated, especially because of the victims and they're elderly, and they're being targeted and we have absolutely no leads," LAPD Detective Tracey Benjamin said to KCBS.
