The Ruins deserves credit for not going the easy route and cutting out all the sex and violence to get a PG-13 rating. More horror movies should follow this traditional template and bring some measure of order back to the universe. Stop-Loss was one of many Iraq-themed movies that got steamrolled at the box office, but it's worth a look considering director Kim Peirce's sterling resume. The experimental The Tracey Fragments tried to capitalize on star Ellen Page's Juno bump, but it tanked at the box office. The team behind Superhero Movie (and many other similar, terrible movies) should be drawn and quartered.

Is there ever a good reason not to buy new material about Led Zeppelin? Re-visit their most sprawling work with this in-depth documentary about the making of this legendary album. How many people have had careers as unusual and satisfying as Dolly Parton? For the Love of Dolly explores five of her most passionate fans. In some quarters he eventually became an object of ridicule, but Steve Irwin was a genuinely compelling guy and the early days of The Crocodile Hunter were brilliantly surreal. "She's a beauty!"
