I see this a lot too actually - unfortunately on regular surface streets. Why is this a problem? The stupid women are driving slower to be able to concentrate on both their nails and the road - which means everyone else behind them are also slow. If you're 4-5 cars behind them - you just think it's regular traffic - go around at a normal speed - then you realize - oh another woman driver failing miserably at multitasking. Can't they do that when they're at the office and reading tmz,msn,hotmail.com, like most of my female coworkers?

Back when I had a car, I probably would have done it. But unfortunately, I had a stick shift. I could have gotten so much done... *sighs*

Why is the NYT treating the sighting like it's a bad thing? I've often thought it would be nice to have something productive to do while inching along in traffic. That woman deserves praise for making good use of otherwise dead time.

oh yeah, that's right, we don't have bimbos in cars on cell phones in LA.
