TV Junkie: SAG Standstill Until AFTRA Count
No deal has been met between the the Screen Actors Guild and the movie studios and producers, who have given their "last best final" offer. Right now, it's all about back and forth information sharing as they look over the offer.
But is that really it? Nikki Finke says it best. "Let's not be coy: the Screen Actors Guild seems to be understandably playing for time until the results of the AFTRA contract ratification vote are announced. The counting should be done by Tuesday evening, and an announcement could come close behind or by the latest Wednesday morning. So everyone's watching and waiting for the results that could change the entire nature of these actor-employer negotiations."
Meanwhile, tonight is full of repeats... and that includes American Gladiators.
Tonight
10:00 p.m.: Dateline (NBC) interviews a couple who were stranded in the water of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia for 19 hours when scuba diving.
11:30 p.m.: Jay Leno (NBC) hosts guests Selma Blair, Kevin Nealon, and Steve Tyrell.
11:30 p.m.: The Colbert Report (Comedy Central) has a worthy repeat with guests Will Smith and Jason E. Bond.

Go away actors. You don't do anything good anyway.
