Box Office Review: 'Cock wins

In a pathetic display of media-generated conformity, audiences rewarded the witless Hancock with a crushing victory at the box-office over the long 4th of July weekend. The inspiration-free actioner tallied $66M ($107.3M) to overwhelm the infinitely superior Wall-E ($33.4M/$128.1M) and further enshrine milquetoast weirdo Will Smith as the putative king of the box-office. Angeline Jolie's vile Wanted finished a distant third, as Jolie's hot, naked ass only managed to garner $20.6M ($90.7M) in its second frame.

The amusing Get Smart managed to rake in an additional $11.1M in its third weekend while Kung Fu Panda continued to kick butt ($7.5M/$193.3M). After that it was the not-so Incredible Hulk ($4.9M/$124.9M) and the still-strong Indy 4 ($3.9M/$306.5M). Kit Kitredge did decent business as it rolled out wide ($3.6M/$6.1M) while Sex and the City ($2.3M/$144.8M) and Zohan ($2M/$94.7M) rounded out the top 10. In limited release, Gonzo was anything but ($7307 per theater) while The Wackness was the dopeness ($24,166).
