Jeez... that's pretty pathetic. We dont need the honor color guard or anything but a little more respect for the flag would definitely be n order. Especially at a major local government building? Wow...
As a service to constituents, U.S. senators and representatives can acquire flags that have been flown over the U.S. Capitol. With enough advance warning, citizens can request that flags be flown on a specific date. The cotton or nylon flags come with a certificate indicating the event commemorated and the date it was flown. Visit your Representative's or Senator's home page for pricing information. Most offer a flag order form under "constituent services."

I've always felt that proper flag-folding should be followed for any and all flags about to be hoisted.
Is there a website where someone can order free flags? I think there was one... I saw a government building that displayed a frayed flag.
