Ask LAist: Fireball Over Hollywood Hills?

Update: More witnesses see the fireball, read the update here | From the LAist Inbox: Legit or For Real? A reader writes in... "I work in Beverly Hills on the 8th floor of our building, and I was talking to a co-worker when I saw a massive orange light fly West to Northeast over the Hollywood hills. It was like a shooting star but ridiculously close. Am I the only one who saw this? Am I going crazy here? No one believes me at the office and I’m getting pissed." It happened around 10:40 a.m. he said in a follow up e-mail. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, nothing unusual has been reported.

And what day is Friday again?

The Militant thinks that fireball might be one beyond the "Safe and Sane" category.

Crack kills.

I think Militant nailed it. Fourth of July pre-celebrations. That should explain it.

i've found if you dont know what you're talking about its best to not say anything at all.
