TV Junkie: Monday

Schapelle Corby - Ganja QueenWith nine hours left in their contract, the TV Junkie is really wondering what will happen with the Screen Actors Guild situation. Our guess is that the SAG will blink first since somehow, even just discussing talent receiving additional percentages of DVD sales is simply off the table for producers.

Looks like TV is for old folks folks as the LA Biz Observed is highlighting a summary of a report from Broadcasting & Cable noting that the median age of viewers of the five networks has hit 50 with CBS leading the pack with 54. But hey, aren't those people the ones with the money? How about some programming for them (other than "Law & Order").

This week Joost is promoting their "Before They Were Stars" set of oldies but goodies: George Clooney in "The Facts of Life"; Jennifer Anniston in the unheard of sitcom "Muddling Through"; and Jennifer's old beau Bad Pitt in "Growing Pains".

Other than HBO's documentary of the week, Ganja Queen (the TV Junkie Pick O' The Night), you might be better off watching Joost because it's slim pickins. "Weeds" is new but all of late night TV is a repeat.

8:00pm The Middleman ABCFamily - Wendy must rescue the Middleman from Lucha Libre wrestlers. This is only listed here because of the "Lucha Libre wrestlers" part of the summary.

8:00pm American Gladiators NBC - Just call it "AmGlad", all the kids are doin' it.

8:00pm U.S. Olympic Trials USA - Swimming

9:00pm Ganja Queen HBO - (2007) Do you remember this: Australian Schapelle Corby stands trial in Indonesia for smuggling cannabis, and her conviction gets her sentenced to 20 years in prison. The full story tonight. TV Junkie Pick O' The Night

9:00pm The Bachelorette ABC - The rejected men return to confront DeAnna and each other one last time. Hell hath no fury....

9:00pm Nashville Star NBC - The contestants prepare to sing two songs, and get a surprise visit from their families. Tell me, do you really watch this?

10:00pm Weeds SHOWTIME - Andy tries to convince the family to put Bubbie out of her misery

10:00pm Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal A&E - A teen girl is forced from her house by an evil presence, quite possibly her annoying kid brother.

11:30pm Charlie Rose PBS/KCET - Author Salman Rushdie.
