The Gas Company Feels Your Pain!

GasCompanyFeelsYourPain.jpg

The rising cost of fuel has people from all walks of life making adjustments in their behavior and sacrifices in their lives.

People are responding by walking more, riding bikes, using mass transit, consolidating trips, carpooling, traveling less, and in the case of the Gas Company, simply "doubling up" for lunch in order to conserve fuel.

These two Gas Company employees each have a Gas Company vehicle assigned to them to be used in their work. But when lunch time comes around, they know that having two vehicles idling for the entire lunch period would be wasteful. That's why they "doubled up," turning off one of the vehicles and leaving only one vehicle idling, air conditioner running, fumes a-spewing, fuel a-wasting, as they enjoyed a tasty and nutritious lunch, a nap and the latest edition of The Auto Trader!

Hat's off to the Gas Company for cutting the inconsiderate, wasteful and environmentally irresponsible behavior in half!

It's a tough job. Someone's gotta do it.

Turn off the engine, get out of the vehicle, go for a walk, sit in the park...just turn off the engine.

SoapBoxLA: What parks!? but yeah.... TURN OFF THE ENGINES!

Sunset & Gordon!

Rumor has it LA is going to have a bunch of new parks on September 19th. SAVE THE DATE!

They probably burnt more fuel going nowhere in their lunch break then I do in a month on the seldom occasions I still drive.

Yes, lets never give credit for the smallest contributions. That way people who are just getting into conservation will feel harassed and be turned off, going back to nothing at all, instead of little step by little step. That's the way to do it, one snarky useless blog entry at a time.

One small snark for the man, one giant snark for our environment.
