LAist: Councilman Pushes to Make LA More Bike Friendly

I've advocated that one for a quite a while. Even spoke up at city council meetings in my corner of LA to make them put the pressure on. Bikes and anything to make it better isn't on the agenda in Monrovia and should be. The gold line needs to be on target for it now. What a great way to increase ridership, give someone a chance to bike a few blocks to an office instead of use a bus.

I rarely saw enforcement of the no bikes rule on the blue and green lines when I took them from downtown to El Segundo last year.

sharrows or Huntington Drive too! do they actually enforce the "no bikes during rush hour" rule? the gold line is packed with bikes during rush hour.

Yeah, Fountain would be helpful. How 'bout a bike lane or 'sharrow' somewhere to connect this Fountain lane with the beginning of the Santa Monica Blvd. lane in WeHo. Speaking with a co-worker who also commutes by bike, the city needs a bike ONLY bus that travels the Sepulveda Pass. Cyclists are having to wait two or three buses to get on because the bike racks are full.

NO WAY!!! Oh man, we need sharrows on Fountain and Vermont. I use both of these when commuting!!! Oh man, I would be SO EXCITED.
