Video of the Day: Malibu Surfers Attack Paparazzi
On Saturday, two paparazzi were reportedly injured when a group of surfers ousted them from Paradise Cove in Malibu. One paparazzo said his camera was tossed in the ocean and on the video you can hear someone make a slight death threat: "you're going to drown." It all started when Matthew McConaughey said he wished they would go away. The other surfers took it upon themselves to do so.
The confusing part is that this happened not once, but twice over the weekend as the paps came back for a rematch on Sunday.

It doesn't look like the hostilites were totally one sided.
But then maybe I just don't like guys who muscle women around, (regardless of how mouthy they get).
Kind of hard to say who's right. On the one hand you have freedom of press, on the other hand a celebrity has the right to a certain level of privacy, even on a public beach.

The problem w/ LA is people move to LA and act the way they think people "act" as LA residents. Obviously, if one was a native you'd know:
1.) Leave celebs alone, they're our neighbors and are humans like you and me.
2.) Don't invade the beach with your howlee kook selves - you just gonna git hurt. Be respectful about the beach and space and you'll be ok. Be lame, and you'll feel the wrath.
Again and again.
3.) Paparazzi are lame. Go home you lamers!
Finally:

WTF is a "slight death threat"? Is that how one ends up only mostly dead?

I was going for an indirect death threat. I should have directly said it that way.

Video is gone! :( Anyone have another version?

The surfers in the video are such douche bags. Seriously this whole "better than thou crap cause I can stand up on a board" is pathetic.
The beach is public property and Matthew should be grateful that any one even bothers trying to take pictures of him considering the terrible movies he makes.

the video is working again.
It seems like both sides involved are to blame. I can't see any reason for them to get physical with the paps if all they were doing is filming on public property, something that is legal. And i say that while cringing because I'm not a fan of paparazzi one bit.

Do we really need more photos of Matthew McConaughey with his shirt off anyway?

"mouthy"? Gidget was out of control!

Yes. You can never have too many of those :)
