Weird Los Angeles: When UFO Hysteria Hit LA

AUFOMaybeWeirdLA.jpgIn 1947 UFO hysteria swept across the world after Kenneth Arnold's alleged sighting of peculiar disc-like objects in US skies. Reports from Los Angeles are certainly nothing new either, and government intervention or involvement is certainly not just a modern possibility.

In 1956 over Burbank a strange craft was observed in the zenith by two brothers at 2:00 pm as they pottered outside in the garden of their grandparents. A 'shiny dot' appeared in the sky as they watched from a garden at Laurel Canyon Blvd. They stared in amazement for a few seconds before their grandfather emerged into the sunshine with a pair of binoculars and scanned the clear skies.

The mystery object buzzing through the clouds was clearly news as on the radio there were several mentions of the invader and also reports that the government had sent jets up there to intercept whatever it was that roamed the blue. With that, the government planes suddenly appeared, allegedly from Lockheed and scrambled after the object. However, the unidentified flying object simply vanished into thin air and the jets headed off over the mountains, seemingly chasing an invisible object.

Ten years later the Los Angeles Times of October 25th, 1962 reported that a bizarre USO (Unidentified Submarine Object) was seen off the coast of Avalon, California. The silent object made no disturbance in the water despite passing a boat, and those on board the vessel claimed to have seen five odd occupants on board the mystery object which the witnesses described as "..of very strange structure."

Proof then that such invaders are not merely watching from the skies...

Just for the record, the objects seen by Arnold in 1947 were described as 'crescent shaped' or 'boomerang shaped', i.e. not disc shaped. A common mistake due to local press errors at the time. Also, there is nothing 'alleged' about Arnold's sighting. It most certainly occurred.

The extraterrestrial intervention is all about nuclear weapons and the plans by our nuclear war fighting elite to use them on us.

The decision was made in 1946 to exterminate the mass of the human race in an all out nuclear war.

We are the Living Dead. The Trigger has been pulled on us several times over the decades.

The only reason we continue to exist is because "Somebody up there loves us."
