Obama & Villaraigosa to Talk Campaign Involvement
Now that Hillary Clinton has dropped out of the race, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has moved on to helping Obama, something he announced immediately after Clinton made the decision earlier this month.
"I spoke with Sen. Clinton yesterday and I said to her, `I've never been prouder to support a presidential candidate,'" Villaraigosa said, according to Rick Orlov of the Daily News. "I also believe that Barack Obama is going to be a great standard-bearer for our party. Yesterday, we crossed a threshold. Americans said it's time for change. They're looking for a leader who can inspire us, and the message is clear -- we all have a lot of work to do to make sure that that change comes to fruition."
Obama will meet with Villaraigosa behind closed doors on Saturday in Miami at the U.S. Conference of Mayors, according to KNBC. However, the Presidential Campaign "is part of what they are going to be discussing," Villaraigosa spokeswoman Janelle Erickson told the TV station. What else will they speak about? One would hope that they talk about major public transportation funding, that is, bicycles, busses and trains. And Obama is hip to that.

It'd be nice if our royal mayorness took some time out to be mayor for a while.
He didn't do anything for our district as councilman, he's not doing much for the city as mayor and I have a sneaking suspicion he won't do much for the country if he lands the VP gig he's so obviously drooling over.

He's too busy cavorting around with Mirthala Salinas in her pretty pink thong as she's yelling; "Fock me Tony fock me!!!"
