<description>&lt;p&gt;It&apos;s worth noting the Angels connection to Los Angeles goes all the way back to 1903 as a very successful minor league club in the Pacific Coast League. Until 1925 they played at the old Washington Park on 8th and Hill downtown. Purchased by William Wrigley in 1921, he built the 22,000-capacity Wrigley Field at 42nd &amp; Avalon and from 1926 to 1957 they played their home games there. REborn as an MLB fanchise in 1961, the Angels played their inaugural MLB season there in 1961, where 248 homeruns were yielded (a major league single-season record that stood for more than 30 years). the following season to share Dodger Stadium with the Dodgers until 1965.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
