Hell, the Celtics had to rely on Eddie House as a point guard! yes, they HAD to rely on the point guard who gives them the best chance to generate offense against the lakers. have you been watching this series? cassell has been cover your eyes bad throughout the playoffs. although rondo is a good player and had a great season, his lack of outside shooting let the lakers basically ignore him on the defensive end.

While I do agree that a great number of fans are band wagoners, but I would say the true core Lakers fans are pretty harsh on their team and players. We don't pull punches and will boo our team on the court if they are playing like scrubs. We definitely don't put no flags on our cars too! Maybe it's my purple and gold-colored glasses. 8-D GO LAKERS!

I'm not even a Lakers fan, but I love the city of LA. The title of this post fuels the fire of what everyone else is saying about Lakers fans and people of Los Angeles is general - that they're spineless bandwagon jumpers who flock to whatever is the next biggest fad. Thank you for helping to perpetuate that.

I gotta say that loss is gonna leave a mark, but fuck it -I've had my car flag for the duration of the playoffs and I still think they're a fantastic team. If we lose, it will at least be to a pretty damn good team in their own right. And anyway, we'll only be getting better in the coming years. The Lakers are a young squad, if nothing else, this'll toughen them up for next year's finals. Like The Due, the Lakers abide. Go Lakers.

i'll be there in Section 310 on Sunday to cheer on Purple and Gold. Been to 10 games this season, 8-2 so far with the only 2 losses being against the Celtics. Last night was some of the most emotional pain i have ever endured at a sporting event, but you don't see me jumping ship. Go Lakers!

Possibly the most disturbing thing about this is that now -- every time any team takes a huge lead in a game in the finals, we'll be reminded of this game. "Remember what happened to the Lakers..." What kind of MVP are you, Kobe?!?

Oh how the fans jump right off the wagon when their not winning. As a real fan I will still be rooting for them and holding out for a miracle but if they should lose I won't be surprised.
