Clinton to Deliver Commencement Speech to 8th Graders

Bill Clinton to speak at junior high commencement in torranceBill Clinton canceled his UCLA Commencement Speech scheduled for this Friday due to the "never-ending" labor disputes between University of California officials and American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (it's not the first time for a celebrity to drop their speech for the same issue).

But today, Bill Clinton will speak to outgoing eighth-graders from Riviera Hall Lutheran School in Torrance. Why this school? Clinton's nephew Tyler --son of Clinton's brother, Roger-- is graduating.

And this is not the first time Clinton has dropped by the school. He made an unannounced visit in 2001, "shocking staff and students alike when a motorcade wheeled in and Tyler, age 7 at the time, stepped out alongside the nation's 42nd president."Class, this is my Uncle Bill," the then 2nd-grader announced.
