I have only seen the pilot of Swingtown. We will see how next few eps go. I am sucker for the tunes and the '76 setting tho. The uptight lady's kid will (most likely be written into) a tortured homo pre-teen and that should be interesting to watch. I gotta get the "Damages" dvd, fer sure

PantheonZeus, yes, I've reported on the return of "Mad Men" as being highly anticipated but I'm not convinced that "Swingtown" is all that great a show. Is it better than garbage like (the recently retired) "Men In Trees"? Yes. Is it a truly great show like "Mad Men", "Breaking Bad", or "Damages"? No.

other summer TV bright spots include AMC's Mad Men season 2 -- Sunday, July 27 and CBS's Swingtown on Thursdays
