Vinita's Threading Salon Opens in Beverly Hills

Threading2.jpg
A Threading in Progress

Good news! Vinita's, the best threading salon in Westwood, opened up a new location on La Cienega.

Obviously you're thinking, "thank God." This location is way more central, it eliminates that stupid Santa Monica Blvd. through Beverly Hills drive, and it’s right near all those fancy restaurants so for that special post-thread luncheon, your eyebrows will stand up to everyone else's.

And while the results from this salon are near perfection like their Westwood sister, it seems as though they may be using the new location to train the next generation of threaders. Here’s why: at Vinita’s in Westwood, they yank that shit out of the forehead fast -- it hurts like a motherfucker, but at least it’s over quickly. It’s the kind of thread-wielding confidence that is reserved for the bold, and the expert.

Not so at this new place. Slowly, painstakingly, they extricate each hair, one by painful one. It’s the exact proverbial and literal pain that people try to avoid with the quick ripping off of a band-aid, or the abrupt ending of a relationship, or the sudden quitting of a job.

In the end, the mission is still accomplished at the La Cienega Vinita’s. Brows are rendered glorious and magnificent. But the question is, is the time saved driving worth the pain incurred? It’s a cost-benefit analysis, folks, and a personal one at that. Good luck.
