Villaraigosa on Gay Marriage: 'I will marry as many people as possible'

Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa to perform gay same-sex marriagesMayor Antonio Villaraigosa has agreed to preside over gay marriages after the ban is lifted at 5:01 p.m. on June 16 -- though, he is scheduled to be in Israel at that time. "I've told a number of couples that I will be happy to preside," the mayor said per Rick Orlov at the Daily News. "I will marry as many people as possible."

Same-sex marriage will be challenged on the November ballot and Orlov reports that two other ballot initiatives could be on their way: "Another is going through signature-checking now. A third measure is still in the signature-gathering stage."

Good for you Tony!!

As for Eric Garcetti for Mayor, I say let's give Antonio another term and then get Eric up there.
