I can't believe there are people here who feel for the Celtics fans that got beat down. They brought it on themselves! What did they think was gonna happen? This is LA. Shit happens when you don't know how to carry yourself in certain situations. Showing up to staples to watch a cheap AWAY game on the jumbotron in Celtics gear is just ASKING for it. On top of that, dude cops an attitude and starts talking shit? That's the equivalent of soaking yourself in blood and hopping into a shark tank. Bottom line: When in Rome, don't dress like a Turk and threaten the Romans.

I was at the Staples Center when this happened, and I was very disappointed. The first fight that happened seemed to be just a joke. It was between 3 girls pushing and shoving. Everyone was ooing and taking pictures. The second fight that broke out was between about 8-10 people and cleared out a whole section. That was when I actually started getting scared/upset. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. When the third fight broke out I was horrified. A Lakers fan actually picked up a section of chairs and threw it at the Celtics fan. The poor guy punched back long enough to run away, onto the court and away from danger. I hated that this is what was happening. It's supposed to be a fun treat for us to watch the game at the Staples Center. Money goes to charity, and we're supposed to be doing 'good'. They don't have to do this for us. We should be happy that we atleast get to experience the stadium setting during a finals game without paying $1,000 per seat. I love the Lakers, but I am less than pleased with those that felt it was necessary to inflict violence on others over a game.

I must agree with Kracko. I have several friends who are avid Boston fan in LA, but our disagreement is civil. If anyone of those Laker 'fans' who were inciting the fight can name five players on the 93-94 team, then they are one crazy fan, if not then they're just a bunch of bandwagoners.

I love the lakers and LA and have for a while, but this is absolutely sickening. Beatin up a guy who you outnumber about 3000 to 1 has got to be one of the most pathetic things going. It pains me to do this on a personal level (I so hate the Celtics) but Id like to offer an apology to any Boston people who might see this. We all arent that idiotic around here. If you noticed there were two pretty animated guys in Laker jersey in the first rows of the game yesterday, I didnt see anyone beating them up.
