If you think those calls were in any way, shape, or form favoring the Celtics, you're out of your effing minds.

Powe got fouled because he went hard to the hoop, while Lakers took 17 foot jump shots.

The refs were calling fouls when guys breathed on Kobe after he got the technical. The Celtics deserved more calls than they actually got.

Kobe needs to quit whining (we know you Laker fans are used to it from back in the Kareem day, but trust me, it's obnoxious) and Phil Jackson needs to STFU. Hell, even Pat Riley hates him.

They have to really curb the whole "home court" calls. It really takes the fun out of the game.

^ it was 41.

they did drive the lane. numerous times, pau took only one jumper, the same number of free throws. he dunked/went to the rim hard every other time. the lakers played well yesterday. however, the defense was the lacking/sore spot that did them in. the offense was fine. the refs were bullshit but after powe's coast to coast i decided the lakers decided to lose no matter what. the latimes sports section was surprisingly not that vocal on the disparity of free throws, while other respectable national sports writers like charley rosen and jeff goodman admitted it was a little over the top on the no calls/calls on the lakers. mike kahn did an entire article on it.

the Spurs were last years champions, which is why they are considered the final hurdle. boston wasn't/isn't.

As a Celts fan, I will admit the calls did go our way in game 2...but that's not why we won.

I'm sick of seeing your coach making excuse after excuse for your bad play. If it wasn't dissing Pierce's comeback after game 1, it was the officiating after game 2...and not being able to even pronounce the name of Leon "Powe" (not Pow) indicates to me that Phil might not have prepared for these two games in Boston like he should have.

The reason the Lakers didn't get to the foul line was because they didn't drive the lane! They didn't force the issue until it was too late (and it worked...they scored 31 pts. in the 4th).

You guys are seeing fast that the Spurs weren't the final hurdle like a lot of people thought.

The Lakers tried to come out aggressive offensively and had a little success. However defensively they got into trouble and the Celtics overcame LA's good start and killed the momentum by getting to the line. And boy did they get to the line. The calls were HORRENDOUS!

The Celts have done their job by keeping Kobe out of the lane and off the free throw line. If he cant get to the line he cant set up his outside shooting as effectively, which we have seen in his fourth quarter fizzles.

Vlad cant guard Pierce and he is the key to everything. In both games, crucial runs have been started by him. How he manages to remain open for those threes is beyond me...

I think the Lakers have shown spurts but have yet to put a complete game together. Lets get them at home and go back to Boston looking to close out. I dont know what Coach's record is after going 0-2 but Im sure its not all good.
