The newest and hottest trends in new modern design and eco-friendly building are hitting the Los Angeles Convention Center this weekend at Dwell on Design. Over 200 exhibitors will display their outdoor, indoor and prefab wares including new products being launched this weekend. Additionally, there will be displays (ex., the Nomad yurt), sixteen private home tours and after hours parties.

Thursday and Friday is the conference part of the weekend where various speakers are talking about green development, nature in an urban environment and sustainability. LA City Councilman Eric Garcetti spoke this morning at the morning keynote and various local landscape architects and designers have been sharing stories about their successes around town. A high school student from Chicago is live blogging some of the panels.

It's $50 to go to the exhibition on Saturday and Sunday, but if you use this code online (BDODEC) before arriving, you get in free (the private home tours and after parties are ticketed).
