The Living Sisters @ Topanga Days, 5/24/08

Last month, the singer-songwriter supergroup trio The Living Sisters (MySpace), comprised of The Bird and the Bee (MySpace)'s Inara George (MySpace), Eleni Mandell (MySpace), and Lavender Diamond (MySpace)'s Becky Stark, performed at the 35th Annual Topanga Days Festival (MySpace).

George's upcoming shows are on July 16th and 23rd at Tangier in Los Feliz, debuting a new collaboration with Van Dyke Parks (MySpace). And Mandell's upcoming shows are on June 11th and 18th at Tangier.

Meanwhile, last week, Stark hosted a screening of footage from the still-to-be-completed Lavender Diamond film Imagine Our Love at the Silent Movie Theatre. And this Saturday, she and Lavender Diamond's Ron Rege, Jr., aka "The Mystical Unionists," will be at the Hope Gallery (MySpace) in Echo Park for the opening of their new gallery exhibit: "For one month the The Mystical Unionists will turn The Hope Gallery into an ultra-optimistic projection of the future, via constant in-house drawing, musical performances, and puppet theatre."
