TV Junkie: Tuesday
We're coming down to a bit over 3 weeks to go before a SAG strike as the guild resumes talks with producers today. The guild has yet to vote for a strike and sources say that even though fellow actors' guild AFTRA signed a contract last month, SAG is unlikely to rubberstamp a copy of that contract for their members.
All I know is that "Mad Men" is coming back to AMC in July so there will be something to watch for at least a month.
On the measuring side of things, NBC Universal has signed on to get Nielsen's Fusion product which ties in viewers' TV-watching habits, what videos they stream, as well as any purchasing data that they've gathered about viewers. Soon they will have stool samples from all of us.
9:00pm Big Ideas for a Small Planet: Live SUNDANCE - This episode surveys some fresh ideas for eco-conscious construction and de-construction.
10:00pm 30 Days FX - Season Premiere. "Supersize Me" dude Morgan Spurlock spends a month living and working with a West Virginian coal mining family.
10:00pm Without a Trace CBS - On at new time.
10:30pm Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love OXYGEN - Season Finale. I'm thrilled about this since I've managed to miss the entire season and I've had a chance to waste those precious hours on something else.
10:00pm Attack of the Show! G4 - On a slow night (like this one) nerds (like me) unite to watch this show.
10:30pm Not Going Out BBCA - Has anyone checked out this new comedy from the UK?
11:35pm The Late Show With David Letterman CBS - Julianne Moore (Savage Grace); Morgan Spurlock (30 Days); Cast of Broadway's "South Pacific" perform
12:35am The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson CBS - Actress Kristin Davis; TV show host Joel McHale (as interviewed by LAist!); comic Drake Witham.
