I love the sign... "Stop Arresting Patients!" Frankly if the "patients" are driving under the influence they should be arrested.

As for Grant, if what the District Attorney says is true, he should be arrested for misleading for a business license and expired to boot.

This is like hauling in the owner of Jack Daniels distillery because a DUI killed someone, and that happens a lot more often than this does.

So true Bartlett Pears! This was a total judgment call on the part of the DEA - harassment plain and simple. It makes no difference though. The genie is outta the bottle on the medicinal cannabis. It's been over a decade now since prop 215 passed (the medical marijuana legalization act) and I think most people can see that society hasn't fallen apart in some kind of pot-fueled apocalypse.

Agreed, this is personal choice - when Nicole Richie went the wrong way on the freeway, then didn't ask any questions to her doctor or CVS/Rite Aid/Walgreens.

Same with Alcohol and drunk driving accidents - double standards everywhere.

"Pill bottles with dispensary labels."

And all the dispesary labels I've ever seen include a warning NOT to drive a motor vehilce or operate machinery while taking their products. That warning is on everthing, even edibles.

This is just more DEA harrassment.

My question is - how was the connection made between the stoned and/or rolling motorist and the owner of the all the dispensaries? How does the CHP know that the THC that was in White's system came from Grant's dispensary at all? LA is a pretty weed saturated city, after all.

It should be noted that the driver of the vehicle also had the substance ECSTASY in his system, which stays in your system for a much shorter period of time as does marijuana.

Funny how the DEA doesn't release that information.

PS. - I've even watched cops enough to know that if you pull somebody over on a highway, you either walk up to the passenger side window, or walk the driver away from the cruising traffic.
