Fast Food Organic Burger Joint Opens in WeHo

O!Burger in West HollywoodIn Pasadena, Orean claims to be the first vegetarian fast-food drive-thru (fast it is not). And beginning Saturday, a new restaurant in West Hollywood will be taking claim to being Los Angeles’ first fast food burger house using only certified organic ingredients. O!burger will offer grass fed beef, free range turkey, hot dogs, salads, French fries and shakes. And yes, they have veggie burgers made from their own recipe based on spinach and corn.

And like many new eateries in the region, they are starting off with eco-friendly supplies such as recyclable, compostable and biodegradable packaging. Additionally, cleaning supplies that will be used and the painted walls are environmentally friendly.

Behind O!burger is film producer Martha Chang (she did 3 Ninjas!) and personal chef Andy Soboil. It replaces one of four healthy burger chains, Topz and is located at 8593 Santa Monica Blvd. (b/w La Cienega and San Vicente).

Also: A new Vegan Spot has opened on Sunset Blvd. in Silver Lake.

We need something like this in the Bay Area. I love Better Burger in NYC. It's fantastic! (same idea!)
