I would not object to a Taste of LA. Instead of BBQ, maybe it's a day of taco trucks and and bands? And yes, definitely new enough to not have been here in the 80's for LA Street Scene. How about the Los Feliz Skunk Walk?

If we could get half street fest vibe from Chicago, summer's in LA would be near perfect. Sunset Junction does not count, that has long lost the neighborhood feel.
