LA Local Makes the Cut on Last Comic Standing

Adam Hunter from Last Comic StandingLast Comic Standing premiered on Thursday airing the first two sets of auditions in New York City and Tempe, AZ. Comics go up in front of two celebrity judges and if they pass, they go onto a live audience showcase later that night. Only a few get past that point.

"I love being a girl. I never have to pay for drinks," Chantel Rae of Redondo Beach explained on stage at the Tempe showcase. "But there is a downside, you have to pay for the pregnancy test."

Another local, Adam Hunter explained the difficulty of getting into clubs. "It is easier to get into this country than a nightclub. They could solve the entire immigration problem by having the bouncers at clubs work the borders."

Other comics highlighted from Los Angeles were Josh McDermitt, Van Nuys;
; Christina Pazsitsky, LA; Bobby Miyamoto, Studio City; Rob Little, North Hollywood.

In the end, only one local made it: Adam Hunter. Though he is completely confident on stage (he can be seen tonight at the Westwood BrewCo, his competition will give him a run for his money. Marcus, an insanely good impersonator, also moved on and from the New York City auditions, Christian acoustic duo, God's Pottery, and hilarious twins, Stone and Stone both rocked the laughs. It's looking to be another good season.
