<description>&lt;p&gt;Damn! That is great copy. Thanks for getting this little neighborhood story down.

About crime in the area - there isn&apos;t really an increase, is there? I used to be more acquainted with the LAPD&apos;s crime tracking web-site, and I remember seeing things softly trending downward in this area.

What there seems to be an increase in is large swarms of cops busting the neighborhood up, and making themselves look a little stupid in the process (sometimes).

They also, thank God, have been heavily policing the main arterials in Cypress Park and Highland Park for speeding cars and minor violations. It has made walking in the area a tiny little bit safer.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
