Long Weekend Fun & Festival Guide

If the rain doesn't deter you from heading out today, there are some weekend-long festivals that might make it worth your time... Or you can hedge your bets and hang tight today and wait for Sunday--or in some cases Monday--to get in on the fun.

Topanga Days
Topanga Days, a three-day music and arts festival, features The Living Sisters (Inara George, Eleni Mandell, Becky Stark) on Saturday, Jonathan Rice on Sunday (will Jenny Lewis show up to sing backup for him?) and Everest on Monday. Valley Greek Festival
Immerse yourself in Greek culture with a full Greek market, shopping, live music, dancing, and food, food, food! Did we mention the food? (Calamari, dolmathes, gyros, loucanico, moussaka, pastitsio, souvlaki, chicken, spanakopita, and 14 varieties of pastries). The event, now in its 35th year, is put on by St. Nicholas Church and 500 volunteers.

Saturday, Sunday, & Monday, 1-9 p.m. | St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 9501 Balboa Boulevard, Northridge | Free

Fiesta Hermosa
Fiesta Hermosa boasts a multi-national food court with the best of global fair food, a Charity Beer & Wine Garden with microbrews from the Union Cattle Company served by local "celebrities" ("the mayor, city councilmen, and [people from] non-profit organizations such as the Rotary, Kiwanis, HB Education Foundation, and other civic organizations"), and two stages featuring live music (tribute band mania!). [Parking & driving info]

Saturday, Sunday, & Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Downtown Hermosa Beach

The Simi Valley Cajun, Creole Music Festival
This 19-year-old celebration of Cajun and Zydeco music features live bands from all over the nation, along with tons of authentic Cajun and Creole food. The event is a fundraisder put on by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise and the proceeds are distributed to over 30 local charities.

19th Annual Holland Festival
Do it up Dutch style! Celebrate all that is Holland (tulips, windmills & wooden clogs?) and enjoy Dutch & Indonesian food, Heineken on tap, and entertainment. This is a one-day only fest.
