Soundcheck: The Happy Hollows @ The Echo, 4/23/08
Part of an ongoing series.
Last month, local band The Happy Hollows (MySpace) performed at The Echo (MySpace), opening for The Ruby Suns (MySpace) and Architecture in Helsinki (MySpace).
On Sunday, The Happy Hollows' lead singer Sarah Negahdari performs a solo acoustic set at Pehrspace (MySpace) in Echo Park with The Physics of Meaning (MySpace), One Trick Pony (MySpace), and Rademacher (MySpace)'s Malcolm Sosa. Joe from Radio Free Silver Lake raves that "I'm really looking forward to Sunday night at byob art gallery Pehrspace. It's the ideal spot to see quiet pretties One Trick Pony play, and Sarah from The Happy Hollows and Malcolm from Rademacher are performing solo to boot. (Haven't heard Malcolm on his own before, but Sarah is often fantastic.)"
Negahdari rejoins her bandmates next Wednesday at The Echo with White Rabbits (MySpace), next Thursday at Alex's Bar (MySpace) in Long Beach with Forcefield On (MySpace), Le Switch, and The Meemies (MySpace), and in late August at the Sunset Junction Street Festival (MySpace) in Silver Lake.

I cannot get enough of Charlie's Mickey Mouse sweatshirt.
By far, The Happy Hollows are one of my favorite local bands out of Los Angeles. A must see!
