How is "The Visitor" a fantasy?
[ report this ]
The Visitor is a fantasy because people don't typically befriend people who break in and live in their house. Ordinarily, they'd--you know--call the police or shoot them. It's a good movie, but a little preposterously noble.

That would be a very short movie.
Seriously, though, I think the reaction fits well with Jenkins's character. I think if we call any film where characters don't behave typically, then a movie like "Training Day" would be a fantasy too. ;)
