Deadly 5 Freeway Crash Claims 3 Lives, Injures 2

A wrong-way driver on the 5 South near Slauson collided with another vehicle at approximately 3 this morning, killing three and injuring two others.

According to abc7.com, the CHP is reporting that a man in his 20s was at the wheel of a Toyota Yaris that crashed head-on into a Nissan Sentra. cbs2.com reports:

Killed were the Toyota's driver [...] a woman of about 19 who was driving the Nissan, and a woman in her 20s who was riding in the rear seat of the car.

The accident had all southbound lanes of the 5 closed in the Commerce area for three hours this morning, but they have all since been reopened.
