Take a Tour of Historic Angeleno Heights This Weekend

You say Angelino, I say Angeleno.
But ultimately, it doesn't matter how you spell it, Angeleno Heights is one of the coolest residential neighborhoods in LA, and the Angeleno Heights Trolley Line Open House Tour this weekend will give people a chance to see the area up close and personal, and inside the homes.
The tour is part of a weekend-long event honoring Leo Politi, who was an "author and artist who documented the changing vistas of early-to-mid-20th century Los Angeles." The open-house tour will take visitors for a walk along the original route of the Angeleno Heights Trolley, and will boast live music, vintage cars, original artwork, talks about Politi's life and work, and the chance to see the spectacular Victorian-era homes in what is considered LA's first suburb. The funds raised from the tour will go to the Angeleno Heights Trolley Line, a non-profit that is working to bring back vintage trolley service to the city--let's help them bring the "Clang, Clang, Clang" of the trolleys back to LA!

Actually, though you are correct in the spelling of one who is from Los Angeles, the community you mentioned is in fact "Angelino Heights." One of the reasons for the vowel discrepancy is the influence of the Italian community at the time (for which "Angelino" would be perfectly accurate spelling - Signore Politi would have spelled it that way, and the old Little Italy was very close by) vs. the more historic - and more generally accurate given the City's heritage - Spanish wording (which would be "Angeleno").
