"Remember the Taco Truck!"

We can't get enough of talking about taco trucks, but we're not alone.

The folks at Zocalo have an event next week focused on the wheeled purveyors of tortilla-wrapped tastiness and their perhaps precarious state of being in light of recent laws. C. Thi Nguyen, who called the new regulations "a cultural disaster," will be on hand at the Los Angeles Theatre Center to moderate a panel of local foodie experts that includes Jonathan Gold (Pulitzer Prize winning food writer), Barry Glassner (author of The Gospel of Food), and Chris Rutherford (co-founder of saveourtacotrucks.org) for an evening called "Remember the Taco Truck!" They'll be gathering to talk about "the joys of the taco truck, their place in Los Angeles culture, and the politics behind the new regulations" as well as "the future, and the history, of our taco trucks." Admission is free but you must reserve a seat and show up prior to the show to claim your seat. These events tend to fill up fast, so keep moving (like those Taco Trucks have to now, too!)
