MUSEUM
The National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago has put together an exhibition of artwork documenting the African presence in Mexico, now on display at the California African American Museum. The exhibition spans centuries of rarely documented Mexican history, including that of early slave freedom leader Yanga.

Chef Jared Simons surprises his diners with a random selection of 7 dishes from the small plate menu, each for $7. The dishes are a varied collection of tastes, from smoked eel to macaroni with serrano ham. A short list of wines is also available for $7 per glass.
