LA Angels defeat Chicago White Sox 10-7. This was not a pretty game by any stretch of the imagination, but it looks like Vladamir Guerrero's bat has come back to life after being dormant for so long. Guerrero hit an Earl Weaver in the fifth inning to give the Angels a 6-4 lead. Being up 10-4 in the eighth inning didn't make things easier for the Angels with the White Sox attempting to make a valiant come back. After scoring two in the eighth and one in the ninth, that was all they could muster. Nick Adenhart gets his first big-league victory for the Angels.
Notable Notes
It's happened again. In the second game of a double header Cleveland Indians' second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera made the 14th unassisted triple play in MLB history. This comes behind pitcher Cliff Lee who pitched a nine-inning shutout in a 3-0 (10 innings) Indians loss. Lee is 6-0 with an ERA of 0.67. Yikes. The last unassisted triple play was turned by the Rockie's shortstop Troy Tulowitzki on April 29, 2007.
