COMEDY
It's the last week of the Los Angeles Comedy Festival in Hollywood. There are two shows tonight (one at 8:00 p.m., another at 9:30 p.m.) that include 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors, Dry Hump and The Comedy Jesus Show.

8:00 p.m., 9:30 p.m. // McCadden Theatre // 1157 N. McCadden Place, Los Angeles // $12/show

CHEAP EATS
Whether you're over the hill on the East or Westside, or even in the Valley, start the week off with good food at great prices. $1 Tacos at Barragan's Mexican Restaurant in Echo Park or $1 Hot Dogs at The Stand in Encino or Westwood. You choose.

Hot Dogs: 5-11:00 p.m. // The Stand // 1116 Westwood Blvd., Westwood // $1/Hot Dog

BINGO + KARAOKE
Need we say more? It's Bingeoke -- that is ten rounds of bingo with karaoke breaks. Plus food if you choose. Plus beer, which is kinda prerequisite for this kind of thing, isn't it?

8:00 p.m. // Busby's East // 5364 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles // Free (Costs $20 for Bingo, goes to charity)

ALTERNATIVE KARAOKE
Forget the normal 80s karaoke classics, will ya? Let's talk Dresden Dolls, Nitzer Ebb, Joy Division, KMFDM, Bauhaus, Psychic TV, The Normal. Yes, welcome to Ground Control at Jewel's Catch One, also home to Vegan Village Internet Cafe.

8:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. // Jewel's Catch One // 4067 W. Pico Boulevard, Arlinging Heights // $4

why can't the stand serve veggie dogs- or am i missing something on their online menu?

When it comes to veggie dogs, The Stand is spineless. If you're in Encino, hit up QT Chicago Dogs on Woodman b/w Ventura and Moorpark for a veggie dog.
