Evade Train Fare & the Police Might Shoot

Metrolink Train shooting in NorwalkA man who tried to get away from Transit Sheriff's Deputies on a Metrolink Train yesterday was shot at, but not hit. Police were checking fares in Norwalk when one man split after the train doors opened.

A foot chase ensued where at one point, according to police, the suspect turned toward the officers. "Fearing the suspect was armed, one deputy fired his weapon, missing the suspect," Deputy Luis Castro of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said in a statement KCBS reported. "The suspect continued running and was later apprehended by another deputy without further incident."

Lesson One: Don't play russian roulette with the honor system, you're bound to get caught when they are checking.

Lesson Two: If you read the news enough, you know that itchy trigger fingers seems to be a common theme these past few months.

So, the cop didn't know whether the fare-evader was armed. He was only afraid the guy had a weapon. Just how close was this guy that he was deemed an immediate threat when he turned around?

At least Margaret Mitchell was waiving a screwdriver around when she was shot and killed. This guy was lucky to get away with a few scrapes and bruises.

Next time, just hide in the bathroom.

Playing too much GTA IV will do this to you. I would have done the same thing.

What the fuck is it with these rent-a-popos and/or LAPD cast-offs?

they are not rent a cops they are DEPUTY SHERIFFS
the same ones that patrol who patrol
Los Angeles county
when the person started running the deptuy didnt
know why the guy was running (just to adviod a ticket the deputy would correctly assume that guys was wanted for something
okay maybe shooting wasnt right thing to do
but since the subject suddenly turned toward the deputy
