HELP
The biggest city-wide community service event happens today all around L.A. It’s the 10th Anniversary of Big Sunday, an event dedicated to bringing people together of all ages to help others. There will be a massive flea market and an art show to raise money for the underprivileged.

MUSIC
Jazz vocalist Tony Jones and his quartet perform songs from their new CD “My Song” tonight at the Rosalie & Alva Performance Gallery. The CD features original music as well as covers of classic songs with a jazz twist.

MUSIC (part 2)
The Walt Disney Concert Hall host’s the Almost A Cappella show this evening. The show will highlight choral composers as the Master Chorale sings their songs, including the famous Eric Whitacre’s, “When David Heard”. There will also be a pre-concert conversation with Grant Gershon, composer David O, and guest harpist Checo Alonso, free to all concert-goers.

FILM
The Nuart’s United Artists’ 90 Years Celebration continues tonight with a screening of West Side Story starring Natalie Wood. Come watch the classic musical on a new 35mm print.

COMICS
The Los Angeles Comic Book Convention is held this year at Shrine Hall and features several A-list guests including the one and only Stan Lee. Lee will be there signing copies of his new book, “Election Daze”. Other guests include voice actor Corinne Orr of Speed Racer and Art Clokey, creator of the Gumby series.

EAT
Eat with the best of the best at the first West Coast, Chefs & Champagne event. The James Beard Foundation hosts the benefit for it’s 20th year. If you are willing to cough up the money for a good cause, you will enjoy the culinary skills of over 30 of L.A.'s chefs.
