FILM
There aren’t many good movies to see this weekend so why not grab a seat at the Nuart tonight and watch the classic World War II film, The Great Escape (1963)? The film is a part of the United Artists’ 90th Anniversary celebration series, starring Steve McQueen and shown on a new 35mm print.

FASHION
An exclusive pop-up vintage shop will be open tonight for four hours in Silverlake featuring incredible art and clothing from Denada Designs, Realm by Jesse Walker and Apartment 3. There will also be live music featuring D.A.V.O. and DJ Ikon X-7, and an open bar for all guests.

DERBY
The Fairplex is the place to be today for the Kentucky Derby (via Satellite), the Derby Brew Fest and what party is complete with out some music? MUSIC (part 2)

Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagag brings her unique cultural music to Disney Hall tonight alongside the Kronos Quartet. Composer Derek Charke also shows his new work in the piece, “Nunavut”. If you like Sigur Rós, you will be a fan of tonight’s music.

Haunting, sad and just plain weird, Colin Brown's photos that he took after last year's Griffith Park Fire are displayed tonight at "Aftermath: The Griffith Park Fire." Brown was interviewed earlier this week on how these amazing photos came to be.
