TV Junkie: Wednesday

Lewis BlackIt looks like Time Warner Inc. will be spinning off Time Warner Cable and announcing that sometime today. No word yet on how that might affect subscribers (like yours truly) of the TV, phone, and web services that the cable entity offers.

9:00pm MI-5 BBCA - This show kicks butt over any similar US show: "CSI", "NUMB3RS", etc.

9:15pm Brief Encounter TCM - (1945) Hey romantics, this tale of unrequited love directed by David Lean and starring Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard is right up your alley. Don't forget the hankies.

10:00pm Top Chef BRAVO - New episode in which the chef's have to create a healthy but microwavable meal.

10:00pm Real Time With Bill Maher HBO - Season Finale (repeat). In case you missed it, this is the one with Arianna Huffington, Phil Donahue, and comic Garry Shandling (who says some really idiotic things, and dude, what is with the ridiculous face lifts? You look obscene)

10:30pm Lewis Black's Root of All Evil COMEDYCENTRAL - Season Finale. Las Vegas vs. the Human Body (w/Patton Oswalt!)

12:05am Jimmy Kimmel LIVE ABC - Chef Adam Perry Lang, and Def Leppard!! Gunter glieben glauchen globen!!

12:35am Late Night With Conan O'Brien NBC - Chef Gordon Ramsay, Feist performs (no way will she best her appearance on Monday's "Colber(t) Repor(t)")

it can only be good news for the consumer.

Hmm... can Time Warner finally update my cable service to match that of my neighbors? I don't even get HD on demand. I want Moxi damnit!
