ART
Catch one of the last nights of the 3rd annual benefit art show, Power in Numbers 3. All artists have done their work on 5" x 7" cards and are donating 20% of their profits to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. So many great artists, and such a good cause, it’s worth the trip!
11 a.m. // Gallery Nucleus // 210 East Main St, Alhambra // (626) 458-7477
STAGE
Remember that movie Point Break? The one with everyone’s favorite actor, Keanu Reeves? Well now you can see it live, like the Rocky Horror Picture Show, except one could argue, a little stranger. And if you haven’t been won over just yet, each night they pick a random audience member to play Keanu’s part. (Don’t worry, the script will be available, you don’t have to practice before hand. Unless you really want to...).
7 p.m. // Charlie O's at The Alexandria Hotel // 501 S. Spring St, Los Angeles // (866) 811-4111 // $20
COMEDY
The weekend is almost over, so if you are looking for a good laugh before you head back into the office or classroom, Neil Hamburger is your man. He performs his cliché and widely popular comedy tonight at Spaceland alongside Andy Daly, The Juggolos, and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
8:30 p.m. // Spaceland // 1717 Silver Lake Blvd, Los Angeles // (323) 661-4280 // Tickets at door
FILM
The New Beverly shows Oliver! (1968) tonight and tomorrow only.
It’s the good one that won all the Oscars, not the one that came out a few years ago. Did you even remember there was another one? I didn’t.
4 p.m. & 7 p.m. // New Beverly // 7165 West Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles // $4-$7
